| This easy-to-grow flowering shrub isn't finicky about soil: any well-drained soil will do. It can be pruned in early spring, after the new growth begins to emerge on the stems. Remove dead wood in spring as necessary. If desired, fertilize in early spring with a granular fertilizer formulated for woody plants, like a rose fertilizer. |
