This low and densely branched plant takes on a tight, narrow form when young, but matures to an upright, teardrop shape? With its outstanding orange to gold fall foliage color and a pleasing winter appearance, this is a great all-season tree!
Scientific: Carpinus betulus Fastigiata
Grow Tips: Carpinus is very easy to grow and maintain, performing superbly in full sun and most soils. Needs little pruning when grown as a tree, but responds well to hard pruning if grown as a hedge.
